Oxford Dictionary’s definition of Colour

We are surrounded by a wide array of colours. Red, green, blue, white, black, pink, orange etc. These colours are what make this planet and the universe beautiful.

From the tree in your backyard to the bright supernova somewhere in the universe. It is colours which make everything interesting! The last time you got attracted to an advertisement on the streets, must have been because of it consisted of bright colours!

The importance of colour ranges from making things look attractive to acting as symbols for ideologies! E.g. The colour red is associated with Communism. Whereas blue is associated with capitalism. Colours are used to identify countries, teams, groups and so much more!

India is considered to be a colourful country. In fact, we love colour so much that we have a festival for it called ‘Holi’ which is being celebrated today, 21st March 2019. It is today when India is even more colourful than usual. What do you think about colours? Let me know in the comment section below!
