SnapKey: Unpredictable: 30th January 2019

The image associated with today’s SnapKey has a historical context to ‘Unpredictable.’

The Red Fort was constructed by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. His reign is considered to be the ‘golden age of architecture’ because it was during his time as emperor that many architectural marvels were commissioned for construction, including the infamous Taj Mahal.

An interesting fact about Shah Jahan and the Red Fort is that the former resided in the latter for a couple of years only. It was his successors who made use of it properly.

The point which I attempt to establish is that it doesn’t matter whether you are a professor or the great Mughal Emperor. Life is unpredictable and it can take an unfortunate or fortunate turn at any time. We cannot control it, but we can be prepared for it.
